Update on the "Wheelchair Project"
Just in case anybody thinks the wheelchair project is all finished you are seriously mistaken. To update all - thanks to your generosity we were able to purchase over 300 wheelchairs. These included some very specialized chairs designed primarily for kids with Cerebral Palsy. Some of these are pictured in the recent press article in the Playa Community news paper. We have been very busy actively delivering the chairs during the past few months and will continue to do so in the coming months. We still have a few chairs that are not spoken for and may well be able to help someone you know that is in need of this kind of assistance. Please feel free to contact any of the members shown on the home page with information that you may have regarding the need.
Every week we find more and more need for chairs. At times the logistics of distribution get a tad challenging but our volunteers always manage to make it work.
Again many thanks to all in the community that helped make this project such an overwhelming success.
