Update of the project to support the Catholic Chapel in Coronado
The Catholic Chapel in Coronado (Ray Claude) requested help to provide Christmas gifts to 100 of the poorest families in the greater Coronado area.
The communities that have been chosen are:
1. Barrereo - the poorest of all
2. La Loma
3. Coloncito
4. Gorgona

Peggy raised this request to the club, and as we had already received 30 donated back pack bags from the Rotary Club of Calgary, Peggy proposed that we fill the bags and donate them to this cause. Peggy purchased coloring books, both Christmas and regular school books, crayons, pencils, erasers, name tags, games and even candies, that will be used to stuff the bags. The pictures both include our honorary member Molly.
The bags will be distributed to each of the above communities on 17th December 2017, together with food hampers, using transport provided by Machetazo. The bus leaves at 8:00am. More details nearer the time.
